"STELLA" - the largest - ever-built vessel in the area of Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea has just depart the shipyard for her maiden voyage.

Built by Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries, the 180.000 dwt bulk carrier named Stella, is classed by BUREAU VERITAS and will trade under the management of Tsakos Shipping and Trading, Greece.
Not only her impressive size (293 x 45 x 24,7 m) but also the modern service features such as "Unattended Machinery Space",  "Hull stress monitoring system", "Coating Protective System" , "Green Passport" were the challenges that the people involved in this construction have faced successfully.
Stella is the first vessel of this type & size from a series of 6 -7 vessels to be built by DMHI in 2009 - 2011, three of them under the classification of Bureau Veritas.
